Matcha is known for it’s intense antioxidant richness. It is believed that matcha is one of the most potently rich superfoods in the world. Just one cup of matcha green tea provides over 6.2 times that of goji berries, 7 times that of dark chocolate, 17 times that of blueberries, and 60.5 times that of spinach!
Delicious when enjoyed as a hot or cold beverage. Can be used in a latte, or smoothie too!
Hot Tea: 1 slightly heaping tsp loose tea into single cup strainer or tea pot for each 7-9 oz/ 200-260 ml of water. Pour freshly boiled water over tea. Steep for 3-7 minutes (the longer the stronger). The longer the steep, the more antioxidants too!
Iced Tea: (1 L/QT): 6 slightly heaping tsp of loose tea into teapot. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water on tea. Steep for 5 minutes. Quarter fill your pitcher with cold water, then pour over the cold water your brewed tea. Add ice and top up with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste!
